The National Examination Board (NEB) plans to publish the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results by Thursday i.e. 13 Ashad 2081 ( 27 June 2024).
Over 500,000 candidates took part in the SEE exam, which ran from March 25th to April 9th, 2024. This number includes 250,772 female students, 253,627 male students, and 15 students from sexual and gender minorities who attended 10,806 public and private schools. Overall, 2,064 exam centers were set up for the exam, with the most in Kathmandu at 127 and the fewest in Manang and Mustang districts at one. A total of 77,485 human resources were directly mobilized to ensure that the exam went smoothly. This year’s SEE examination adhered to the secondary education curriculum of 2022.
This year’s results will be evaluated using the Letter Grading Directive 2078, which distinguishes between theoretical and internal assessments. The emphasis on achieving minimum scores in both theoretical and internal assessments is intended to improve learning quality and better prepare students for higher education.
Beginning this year, students must score at least 35% in theory and 40% in practical exams. This differs from previous SEE exams, which required a score of 35 percent in both theoretical and practical examinations.
